Many times I’ve heard people describe the Microkorg as “limited”.
Sure, editing using the matrix on the synth itself isn’t exactly a breeze, but I was pleasantly surprised with the capabilities of the MicroKorg’s sound engine after trying this sounds pack from Thoracius Appotite. Load it using the editor (someone please tell Korg we’re past the 90’s regarding this editor) and enjoy some cool retro sounds.
On the subject of Korg love, I recently purchased a used Korg 05R/W that I’m loving. Maybe being a bit limited isn’t so bad after all. Using it live with my band De Delvers, changing programs using the Morningstar MC-6 and played from a Novation LaunchKey 37 mk3.
